Ardens Starter (previously QMasters QToolset)
Ardens Starter for EMIS Web is a Clinical Decision Support and workflow efficiency solution that ensures clinicians and other practice staff are offering high quality patient care and following best practice and national safety guidance. It includes smart templates, clinical pathways, advanced reporting, and live monitoring of all clinical data as it is recorded to help improve clinical safety.
There are three versions of Ardens for EMIS Web
Clinicians benefit as they can save time during consultations, increase practice income with better clinical coding, and improve safety with real-time alerts about potential safety issues as data is typed. Practices using our Ardens-QMasters frequently receive CQC outstanding ratings due to these advanced safety features.
Clinical Commissioning Groups benefit as Ardens Pro includes standardised templates, fully managed local referral forms, and clinical pathways that are customised to meet local requirements. This ensures member practices are recording data in the same way and submitting referrals using the correct forms. QToolset Enterprise includes advanced reporting to assist commissioners with service evaluation and contract management.

Smart templates for long-term conditions that automatically adapt to individual patient requirements helps clinicians follow standardised best practice based upon national or local guidelines easily during consultations.
Advanced reporting is possible as the QToolset ensures high quality data is captured at the point of care.
CCG reports include diagnostic, prescribing, and contract activity and can be combined across multiple practices. GP reports include QOF Monitor, clinical safety reports, and financial reports. |
All clinical data is monitored as it is typed into EMIS Web to ensure errors in clinical coding are corrected in real-time. This improves efficiency and assists with contract management and accurate service evaluation.
Automatic coding of work that can be claimed as part of an Enhanced Service (or local equivalent) and the use of smart templates to record data saves time and increases practice income.
Regular reports on enhanced service activity make claiming for payments easy and ensures income is not missed. |
MHRA safety alerts and important NICE guidance are built into the QToolset and regularly updated to promote best practice and improve clinical safety. Where a potential risk is identified the clinician will be alerted immediately when the error is made.
Poor quality clinical coding is the leading cause of CCGs under-reporting chronic disease prevalence and GP practices missing income. Eligible QToolset subscribers receive free annual Data Validation Reports to identify coding errors affecting prevalence that have been made over the previous year.

"The Doctors who run QMasters have a passion to optimise and exploit EMIS Web to fulfil the contract demands for correct coding, ultimately resulting in improved income. There is a cost to use their QToolset but the increased income and access to their toolkit/templates/protocols far outweighs the outlay. Also they regularly amend and update the templates/concepts/protocols as required to align with QOF requirements / changes. We are extremely satisfied with their service"
Mr Phil Gough - Practice Manager. Victoria House Surgery, Oxfordshire
"I and my practice staff have been very pleased with the QToolset. I think the templates are better, the reports are useful, and support is very good. Our QOF and Enhanced Services income has certainly risen since the QToolset was installed, and our clinical coding is also better. The QToolset has paid for itself and more"
Dr Venkat Reddy - GP. Mocketts Wood Surgery, Kent
