GP Contract changes 2018/19

NHS Employers has published the changes that are being made to the GP Contract for 2018/19.
A summary of the changes can be found here.

The main points to note include:

• 3.4% uplift in funding from 1st April (1% uplift in GP pay and 3% uplift to cover practice expenses).
• £60m payment to practices to cover cost of indemnity inflation.
• QOF is not changing at all in 2018/19.
• Uplift to the item of service fee for certain vaccinations from £9.80 to £10.06.
